ITINERARY

DAY 1
Arrive in Marrakech where we will meet you at the airport and take you to our beautiful riad (traditional courtyard house) to get settled, oriented and to have a chance to rest. That evening we’ll enjoy a welcome/icebreaker session and our first dinner together on a beautiful rooftop restaurant overlooking the city before heading back to the riad for a good night of sleep – we’ve got a big week ahead!

Sleep: Marrakech
Meals included: Dinner

DAY 2
Enjoy a fresh breakfast before we kick off our first full day with a welcome workshop that will set the stage for the week’s focus upon inspiration, empowerment and tangible ways that one can hit refresh and begin a life of purpose-based travel. After some free time for lunch we'll reconvene for a walking tour of the old city, where a professional guide will help you get oriented not only with the maze-like alleys of the medina but also with the complex history and fascinating culture that surrounds you. Finish the day with a final group dinner in Marrakech before taking some time to pack up and get ready to hit the road the following morning.

Sleep: Marrakech
Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 3
After breakfast we will board our private transportation for the short and scenic drive to Imlil, a gorgeous mountain village that combines traditional Berber life with a side of outdoor adventure. Imlil is best known as the base for those aiming to climb Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, though it’s also the perfect spot to simply soak in the slow pace and mountain air. We’ll be spending the next two nights in a hilltop luxury kasbah with the best views in town – a perfect spot for inspiration to strike! We’ll spend the afternoon absorbed in our second workshop and, later that night, recap and relax as we enjoy a traditional feast by the fire.

Sleep: Imlil
Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 4
Wake up to catch the sunrise over the High Atlas (it’s worth it!) before fueling up with a delicious breakfast; today we’re going seek inspiration in one of its best-known hiding places – nature! A local mountain guide will take us out for a relaxed half day hike that will expose you to both the natural beauty and the traditional Berber way of life still prevalent in the area. We’ll be treated to tea at a local family’s home before returning for a bit of downtime and, later on, our third workshop and another home-cooked feast.

Sleep: Imlil
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 5
Enjoy a relaxed, final mountain morning before packing up and hitting the road. Today we will travel to Essaouira, an ancient fortified city on the coast best known for its photogenic port, laid back artsy vibe and, most recently, its role as a filming location for Game of Thrones. We have no scheduled sessions today; after getting settled into our riad you’ll be free to wander the whitewashed maze of the medina, browse the wares of Essaouira’s many artisans or simply enjoy some time to yourself. Later on we’ll offer a cooking class that evening where you can learn a few local tricks of the trade and then enjoy the fruits of your labor for dinner!

Sleep: Essaouira
Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 6
Today is our final full day in Morocco, and we’ll spend it absorbed in a final set of group sessions designed to leave each participant with a tangible, actionable plan for hitting refresh. You’ll have free time later in the day to reflect upon the many experiences of the past week, and we’ll wrap up the day with a final group meal and the chance to discuss your goals, challenges and plans going forward with those who have been by your side throughout this journey!

Sleep: Essaouira
Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 7
Wake up for a final Moroccan breakfast before packing up and heading back to Marrakech to catch flights home, or to connect to further travel.

Meals included: Breakfast

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • US and EU citizens will need a passport with at least 6 months of validity upon entering Morocco; no visas or vaccinations are required. Participants from other countries should check with their consulate for entry requirements.

  • Please ensure that you arrive in Marrakech no later than 2pm on Sunday, April 14 and depart no earlier than 12pm on Saturday, April 20.

  • Please note that travel insurance is strongly recommended. Although we hope you never need it, we've seen enough to know that it can be a lifesaver in the event of a medical emergency, flight delays that cause you to miss the start of the trip, lost baggage or cancellation on your part.

  • Please keep in mind that Morocco is a developing country – though you will be comfortable and very well taken care of, an adaptable and flexible attitude is a must!
